Colonels to Host Hockey Championship

The Colonels Men's Hockey Squad has advanced to the ECAC title game. They will host Johnson & Wales on Saturday, March 6th @ 4:35pm. New Curry Athletics Website!

Winter Sports Season Kicks Off

After a successful fall sports season, which included a trip to the conference championship game for the football team, the winter teams are set to begin action.

The Men's and Women's Basketball teams will be playing their inaugural season in the new gymnasium. Be sure to catch the home opener for both teams beginning at 6:00pm next Tuesday (11/24). The Men will be taking on MIT while the women will face Albertus Magnus.

The Hockey team is also set to have a strong season as they return 6 seniors and welcome a strong freshman class. They will also be in action next Tuesday at the Max Ulin Hockey Rink in Milton as they take on Tufts.

Introducing Our New Colonel!!

Have you had a chance to meet the new Curry Colonel yet? Well recently, the Athletic Department unveiled the redesigned Colonel logo. So go ahead and check him out - he looks awesome! What you do think?

Hockey Team Rings in the New Year with a Big Win!

The Men's Hockey team started 2009 with a bang by knocking off #3 nationally ranked Middleburry College at the Middleburry Hockey Classic. This marks the second time Curry has defeated a nationally ranked team this season. The Colonels previously beat Colby, who was then ranked #14 nationally. The 2008 Curry Football team won its first game of the NCAA Tournament this past Saturday. The number seven-seeded Colonels upset the heavily favored number two-seeded Ithaca College Bombers in the regional quarterfinals. The Colonels move on to the regional semifinals where they will meet Cortland St. next Saturday, Nov 29th. A full recap of the game can be found here.

With the Fall academic semester approaching fast, I am reminded that the Fall athletic season will also begin shortly. During the Fall season, Curry competes in men's football and soccer, and women's cross country, soccer, and tennis. A complete Fall athletic schedule can be found here. The annual Purple & White football scrimmage will be held at 2:30 on August 23rd, with the opening home game of the 2008 season to be held on September 13th. The football team is coming off its fifth consecutive NEFC Championship and made its fifth-straight appearance in the NCAA Division III tournament. Clearly, there is no better time to catch the Curry Colonels!
